When we first built Irra, our utility rover, the idea was just to create a mobile platform that could be used for different purposes. But as we worked on it and shared it with people, we started to realize it could be something fun and very useful for event activation at places like sports games or festivals.
At the beginning, Irra looked like a normal RC truck. Later on, we decided to change the body into a more simple and generic shape on a white canvas. This way it is easier to wrap with brand logos, team colors, or special event graphics. The new body also comes with a cargo area and space for audio visual system so the rover can interact with people at the event. We imagine it moving around in the crowd, playing sounds, showing visuals, giving out stickers, leaflets or even small free gifts.
Irra is equipped with speakers for sound, a digital display for messages, and a pan and tilt camera that makes it possible to do head tracking and also record video. The whole idea is to make a vehicle that can catch attention, surprise the audience, and create memories.
Think about how your brand can use a rover like this. It could bring more fun to a campaign, hand out swag in a cool way, or even make a donation drive more engaging, all while people are gathering around it and taking notice…
What do you think about using something like Irra for brand activation and events?
